These ads stimulated quite a bit of discussion. All instantly agreed that they would break through directory clutter and positively position Terminix. There was also signifcant praise for the underlying creativity, especially for the manner by which such a visually appealling ad could be created using only yellow and grayscale. The question, though, was whether the absence of detailed copy would diminish the ad's chances for motivating a consumer to contact Terminix. In the end, it was decided that the absence of copy was more than compensated for by the clear, friendly way of communicating that the job was done ... completely and without problem.
