The design and layout of these ads make it easy for readers to immediately understand key, differentiating copy points. Locations are easy to find and the ads work well in all sizes. Perhaps most importantly, however, the ads use a headline that communicates a key product benefit in a way that is friendly and easily accessible.

Stacey notes: When I think of storing my belongings in some storage shed in some area I may not be all that familiar with, the first thing I want to know is whether my items will be safe--this is where the "Your Stuff is Safe With Us!" headline came from. Upon developing this headline, I then thought it would be nice to show the main features of U-Store-It locations in a nice, bulleted outline so someone flipping through the phone book could get the information he or she needed quickly. Since it is a Yellow Page ad that may be printed black and white, I kept the colors simple yet bold enough to get noticed on those occasions when it is printed in color. Overall, I attempted to both show and tell explicitly what U-Store-It could offer its customers in a way that positively differentiates U-Store-It from all of its competitors.
